Tar Heels beat Terps, lose Ginyard
Posted Feb 4, 2009
Wayne Ellington scored a season-high 34 points and No. 3 North Carolina hit a season-best 16 3-pointers in its sixth straight victory, a 108-91 rout of Maryland on Tuesday night. The win was bittersweet, however. Toward the end of the game, the Tar Heels announced swingman Marcus Ginyard will miss the rest of the season and seek a medical redshirt because of an injured left foot.
