North Carolina Field Hockey goalkeeper Merritt Skubisz has been named ACC Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. The true freshman was rock solid between the pipes for the Tar Heels over the weekend as they picked up big wins over App State and No. 9 Liberty, refusing to surrender a goal in either game.
