For ACC coaches, sustained success is no simple matter

Many qualities made Dean Smith a rarity among coaches, a stature he shares with Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and, perhaps, Roy Williams. Among the least definable, but most important, traits shared by those Hall of Famers is the ability to sustain success for extended periods, through various recruiting classes and in the aftermath of surpassing achievement.
