Jeff Capel landed his first Class of 2026 verbal commitment Friday evening, as 4-star guard Jermal Jones chose Pitt over a host of high-major offers. A 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard out of IMG Academy in Florida, Jones is ranked by On3/Rivals as one of the top 100 (No. 92) recruits nationally within his class. 247Sports listed him at No. 110 nationally.
