Drake Powell assigned to G League camp, one of nine Tar Heels in camps

Drake Powell on Monday became the ninth former UNC Basketball player assigned to a G League training camp, joining Long Island Nets camp. G League training camps opened Monday, with teams allowed to have up to 18 players. Opening-day rosters must be trimmed to 12 by 5 p.m. Nov. 6, with the G League Tip-Off Tournament starting on Nov. 7.
