By halftime, the Tar Heels went into the locker room with six sacks — tied for their season high — even though the offense only had three first downs. The pressure never slowed. By the end, UNC tallied nine sacks, three from defensive end Melkart Abou Jaoude and another three from linebacker Tyler Thompson — a career high en route to a 20–15 win.
