From Fargo to Chapel Hill, Jake Schaffner Brings Midwest Grit to UNC Baseball

If Jake Schaffner took anything away from his two years playing baseball at North Dakota State, it was that his coach, Tyler Oakes, wanted his players to be Bison. Why? Bison are the only animal that runs toward the storm. That’s the mentality Schaffner brought to Chapel Hill. The junior looks to slot in at the shortstop position vacated by Alex Madera.
