Leslie McDonald leads playoff rout

Briarcrest Christian School, the defending State Division 2-AA boys basketball champion, played like it Wednesday night, turning the screws on Christian Brothers for a 56-41 West Region semifinal win at St. Benedict.
Senior center Johnny Williams scored 22 points and dominated inside. Senior guard Leslie McDonald, a North Carolina signee, scored 12 of his 17 points after halftime. His back-to-back threes to start the second half officially declared this game a runaway.
