Utah names Morgan Scalley as new head football coach

After Kyle Whittingham’s decision to step down as Utah football coach after 21 seasons, the program named defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley its 24th head coach in program history. Scalley, a Utah native, had long been viewed as Whittingham’s replacement, and in 2023 the coach-in-waiting title was re-added to Scalley’s contract. (Deseret News)
