UNC's victory over Florida State was the 499th win in the Smith Center. Caleb Wilson became the first UNC freshman to score 20 or more points in six straight games. Phil Ford was the only other UNC freshman to score 20 or more in five games in a row (1974-75). Wilson is the sixth Tar Heel ever with at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
