Boopie Miller had 27 points and 12 assists and SMU beat No. 12 North Carolina 97-83 on Saturday, giving the Mustangs their first win over a ranked team for second-year coach Andy Enfield. Seth Trimble had 22 points for North Carolina, which was off to its best start in more than 15 years. Henri Veesaar had 14 points, while Caleb Wilson had 13 points.
