Hubert Davis on Loss to SMU: 'It Goes Back to Defense'

Simply put, North Carolina’s 97-83 loss to SMU on Saturday was its worst defensive performance of the season to date. It was probably also the worst defensive performance of the era. The Mustangs shot 71.4 percent from the field in the second half and 60 percent for the game to average a stunning 1.426 points per possession. (Inside Carolina)
