With the Tar Heels outlasting Virginia in a gritty road win, Hubert Davis was complimentary of North Carolina's fight and response as they improved to 4-4 in Quad 1 games this season. "One of the things I kept telling them is in order to win this game, when the ball goes up in the air, or it’s on the ground, those 50/50 loose balls got to be all UNC." (Inside Carolina)
