State-Carolina: Let's rate this rivalry
Posted Feb 18, 2009
Look for the red jacket to come out for N.C. State and the North Carolina fans to pack the Smith Center tonight when the Wolfpack plays the Tar Heels. But as rivalries go, is this one sizzling or fizzling? Roy Williams has lost to State only once since returning from Kansas, and the Pack hasn’t been much of a threat to the Duke-Carolina hegemony in the ACC. N.C. State hasn’t won the ACC title since 1987.
