Posted Feb 3, 2026
With 3:05 left in the first half Monday against Syracuse, UNC led by five. From there, the Tar Heels rattled off 12 straight points to extend their lead to 14 at the half. That surge grew into a 40-14 run over a 13:35 span as UNC's lead ballooned to 32 in the second half. Closing the first 20 minutes strongly has been beneficial the Tar Heels' last few games.
