South Florida defensive backs coach Troy Douglas heads to North Carolina

Jim Leavitt has lost his third assistant coach in less than a week as defensive backs coach Troy Douglas resigned Wednesday to take the same job at North Carolina. Douglas said he was watching the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night when he got a call from UNC defensive coordinator Everett Withers. Douglas interviewed in Chapel Hill on Tuesday. He resigned Wednesday afternoon. (St. Petersburg Times)
