Bubba Cunningham says emotional factors complicate arena decision

If the decision to renovate the Smith Center or build a new arena for UNC's basketball teams were purely financial, it would be easy. Athletics Director Bubba Cunningham, on the weekly "Arena Discussion" podcast. "The information we had fall of ’25 indicates there’s about a $20 million differential between a renovation on campus and a new facility."
