Jackson Watkins knew that, of course, and he understood. That said, Watkins wouldn’t have minded if his two-year stint as an against-all-odds basketball walk-on at the University of North Carolina lasted forever. Suiting up for the Tar Heels, you see, had been his lifelong dream.
