Posted Feb 27, 2026
Opened in 1923 by Lynwood and Lucy Sutton, Sutton's Drug Store was sold to Elliott Brummitt in 1965 with the understanding that the store wouldn’t change, a deal that was extended to John Woodard when he bought the store in 1977. Don Pinney started hanging around the place in 1979 when his parents worked there and started managing the grill in 1993.
