Hakeem Nicks plans surprise for scouts

is hoping to unveil speed far beyond what NFL scouts are expecting at the league combine this weekend. Though Nicks' time in the 40-yard dash is expected to be slightly better than 4.6 seconds, he said Friday he hopes to run in the low-to-mid 4.4s when he's timed on Sunday. "I think I have a lot more speed than what is expected," he said. "I just have to go out there and prove that." (Raleigh News & Observer)
