UNC Softball Drops Series Opener To No. 16 Virginia, 7-3

UNC Softball fell Friday night to No. 16 Virginia by a score of 7-3. Emily LeGette stayed hot in the first inning ripping an RBI single to score Sanaa Thompson. She now has a 14 game hit streak which is the longest of any Tar Heel this season surpassing Sanaa Thompson's 13 game streak. Timely hitting hurt the Tar Heels as they left six runners on base.
