Travis McKie scores 18 as Roy Williams looks on

Too quick. Too fast. Way too tough on the boards. That was the story of John Marshall's 62-51 victory over Douglas Freeman last night in the championship game of the Colonial District basketball tournament played before a crowd of 950 at Patrick Henry.
District player of the year Travis McKie, playing under the watchful eye of University of North Carolina coach Roy Williams, finished with 18 points.
"The game affects me more [than Williams' presence]," said the 6-7 junior. "Every time we play Freeman, I always try to rush. As soon as I calmed down and our team got together, we played strong."
