Doug Moe was a star at Brooklyn's historic Erasmus Hall High School, a two-time All American at UNC, where he played from 1958-61 and, as a senior, averaged 20.4 points and 14 rebounds. He was a three-time All-Star in the American Basketball Association — a teammate of Brooklynite Larry Brown with the New Orleans Buccaneers – and won a league championship.
