North Carolina jumped seven spots in the D1 Baseball Top 25 to a season-high No. 6 after going 4-0 last week. The Tar Heels rolled to a 9-1 victory Tuesday in Charlotte over South Carolina, then swept a three-game series at Notre Dame 6-5, 13-7, and 15-10 for their fifth straight victory. It’s UNC’s highest rank since it was No. 5 on Feb. 24 last season.
