UNC defensive end Melkart Abou-Jaoude had opportunities elsewhere this offseason, but chose to remain at UNC because of his belief in the program and the relationships he built last season. He pointed to the opportunity Carolina gave him in 2025, his connection with his teammates, and his desire to help the Tar Heels continue in the right direction.
