Cubs sign talented shortstop prospect Alex Madera

Talk about a signing that came out of nowhere, as the Chicago Cubs get back on the free agent market to find unexpected talent. According to reports, Undrafted UNC shortstop Alex Madera and the Cubs have reached an agreement on what appears to be a Minor League deal, as he will make his professional debut at some point this season.
