Indya Nivar Selected 28th Overall By Atlanta Dream In 2026 WNBA Draft

For the first time since 2021, a Tar Heel was selected in the WNBA Draft with UNC's Indya Nivar selected 28th overall by the Atlanta Dream in the second round of the 2026 WNBA Draft. Nivar is the 22nd Tar Heel to be drafted and the second under coach Courtney Banghart, and the first since 2021 when Stephanie Watts was selected in the first round. (GoHeels.com)
