UNC gets good pitching but not enough offense to pull off sweep of Georgia Tech

Two sights have been rare at Boshamer Stadium this season: UNC batting in the ninth inning and its offense struggling to score runs. After decisive wins in the first two games against No. 2 Georgia Tech, the No. 3 Tar Heels couldn’t come up with enough big hits in a 5–2 loss Sunday in the series finale. Excellent pitching gave UNC a chance until the end. (Tar Heel Tribune)
