No. 2 UNC run-ruled NC State in a series-clinching 17-7 victory on Friday night at Doak Field. The Tar Heels (43-9-1, 22-7) scored four or more runs in three separate frames to dominate the Wolfpack in seven innings. Jake Schaffner homered on the very first pitch of the game.
