Late Rally Lifts Northwestern Past UNC Women's Lacrosse, 14-11, In NCAA Final

Northwestern outscored North Carolina, 5-0, in the fourth quarter to beat the Tar Heels, 14-11, and win the 2026 NCAA championship Sunday on Northwestern's home field. Defending NCAA champion UNC entered the fourth quarter with an 11-9 lead, but the Wildcats controlled the final period and beat the Tar Heels for the second time this season.
