UNC Baseball to 'Pitch Off' in Regional Opener, Ryan Lynch to Start Against VCU

Scott Forbes is mixing it up. When No. 5 national seed Tar Heels open NCAA Baseball Tournament play Friday against VCU, it will be sophomore right-hander Ryan Lynch toeing the rubber at Boshamer Stadium — not UNC's usual Friday starter, Jason DeCaro. Friday night will mark the first time since 2023 that Forbes has saved his ace for game two. (Inside Carolina)
