Carson Bertagnole Named GCAA Men's Golf Freshman All-America

The Golf Coaches Association of America named Tar Heel freshman Carson Bertagnole one of five Freshman All-Americas. The Pinehurst, N.C., native tied for 19th in the 2026 NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif., Bertagnole shot rounds of 69-72-72-71 to become the fourth Tar Heel to shoot par or better or in all four rounds in an NCAA Championship.
