Big late two-out hits surge UNC Baseball past Ole Miss in College World Series Friday
Posted Jun 12, 2026
Gavin Gallaher picked an excellent time to break through with his first College World Series hit with two outs in the seventh inning, lacing a single up the middle for the go-ahead run. UNC rolled from there, thanks to a three-run eighth-inning Colin Hynek home run as the Tar Heels knocked off Ole Miss 6-2 in their College World Series opener Friday.
