Raleigh officials up crowd size: 180,000 Hurricanes fans flooded downtown for Stanley Cup parade

Raleigh police said Sunday said that even more jubilant Carolina Hurricanes fans than first estimated crammed onto sidewalks, peered out office building windows and lined parking deck floors on Saturday to cheer and wave at the team’s Stanley Cup championship parade. The turnout that packed downtown was enough to leave their coach at a loss for words.
