Parker Wolfe rides last-lap kick into 2-mile win at Prefontaine Classic


fought off German Mohamed Abdilaahi down the stretch to win the men’s two-mile Friday in the Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field. Wolfe, a 2024 Olympian and former NCAA 5,000-meter champ, finished in 8:10.13 to conclude the Pre’s first day before an estimated crowd of 9,000. In the process, he just missed the U.S. record of 8:07.07. (Oregon Live)
