Marcus Spears Jr. has what we call ridiculous athletic bloodlines. His father is former LSU and NFL DL Marcus Spears. His mother is the 6-foot-2 former No. 7 overall draft pick of the Washington Mystics, Aiysha Smith, and his older sister is Cari Spears, a 6-foot-3 outside hitter for Texas volleyball who earned first-team All-SEC honors last season as a freshman.
