Michael Malone was the first phone call that Steve Newmark made when looking for UNC's next basketball coach after the school parted ways with Hubert Davis in March. Malone was the only unemployed coach that Carolina had on its radar. But he also checked so many of UNC's boxes. "He knows everything about Carolina Basketball," said Newmark. (TarHeel247)
