Jason DeCaro cashes in with above-slot signing bonus from Pittsburgh Pirates

After being drafted in the third round of the MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, former UNC pitcher Jason DeCaro has signed on the dotted line, agreeing to his first professional contract. DeCaro's slot value was projected at $1,035,700, but terms that Jim Callis of MLB.com reported are a bit higher. DeCaro is set to receive a $1.3 million signing bonus. (Keeping It Heel)
