Fens was a First Team All-Summit League and Summit League All-Defensive Team selection last season, averaging 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game — and ranked in the 99th percentile for time spent in the post. He's a throwback low-post presence who brings physicality and rim protection that complement the more perimeter-oriented bigs already on the UNC Basketball roster.

Fens was among the class of 2022 players caught in the NCAA's new age-based eligibility model, which does not grandfather athletes who completed four seasons by Spring 2026.
