Two Tar Heels Under Par After the Opening Round of US Amateur Stroke Play

The 126th U.S. Amateur golf tournament got underway Monday at the historic Merion Golf Club's East Course in Philadelphia. Merion has held 20 USGA major championships including five U.S. Opens, and six U.S. Amateurs. Legendary winners include Ben Hogan, Lee Trevino, and Justin Rose. Five current Tar Heels are looking to add their name to the ledger. (TarHeel247)
