Previewing UNC field hockey’s 2026 season
Posted Aug 23, 2026
Head coach Erin Matson has lost just two true road games since taking over UNC field hockey in 2023. This fall, the Tar Heels will have eight chances to test that record. Nearly half of UNC’s 17-game regular season will be played away from Chapel Hill, including a five-game stretch that sends the Tar Heels west to Stanford and Cal before they return east.
