Billy Edwards solid in opener, but says Tar Heels left 'meat on the bone'
Posted Aug 30, 2026
Billy Edwards Jr. showed why he earned UNC's starting quarterback spot with a solid but not spectacular performance vs. TCU. He didn’t throw a touchdown pass, but he also didn’t turn the ball over, going 16 of 28 for 232 yards, a total the Tar Heels hadn’t reached since 2024. "It’s great to come out victorious, knowing we left a lot of meat on the bone."
