After a weekend when starters Drake Maye, Omarion Hampton, Josh Downs, and Javonte Williams all sat out the final preseason games, there was plenty of roster activity for former UNC players. Sam Howell, competing to be Dallas’ backup QB, completed 12 of 17 passes for 155 yards and two TDs in the Cowboys’ 27-24 loss Friday to New Orleans. (Tar Heel Tribune)
