The defender knows Tyler Hansbrough’s jump hook is coming when he gets the ball deep on the block for UNC. And when Duke’s Gerald Henderson gets the ball, the defense is hardly surprised when he drives to the right. If the best players get the ball in their best spots, the defense often can’t stop them. The objective of the coaching chess game at the ACC tournament will be to put the Hansbroughs and Hendersons in the best position to score.
