Amid a legal fight over the eligibility of student-athletes who graduated high school in 2022 and are seeking a fifth season of competition, three UNC Field Hockey players — Ryleigh Heck, Dani Mendez, and Sietske Bruning — joined a lawsuit challenging the NCAA’s new age-based eligibility model and seeking emergency relief in Monroe County Circuit Court.
