Minnesota Twins promote former first-round pick Aaron Sabato to majors

Six years after the Minnesota Twins selected former UNC infielder Aaron Sabato with their first-round pick in the 2020 MLB draft, he’s headed to the big leagues. Sabato was promoted before the Twins' road series against San Francisco beginning Monday. Sabato, a 27-year-old first baseman from Rye Brook, N.Y., had a strong season at Class AAA St. Paul.
