A guide to the most iconic UNC campus characters

The beloved campus crossing guards by South Road have left the most positive effect on my time at UNC out of any of the campus characters. Sherita “Miss Rita” Baker and Hasan “Whiz” Wilson consistently make the kindest remarks as they let me cross the street, successfully lifting my mood. Baker always wishes me an amazing rest of my day. (Daily Tar Heel)
