Hokies Hansbroughed out of Atlanta

It took 24 hours, but the ACC Tournament started. After a dreary first day in an empty building, UNC beat Virginia Tech in a good, old-fashioned postseason basketball game. 's layup and then defensive tie-up with J.T. Thompson in the final 36 seconds gave the Heels a 79-76 win over the Hokies in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. Hansbrough finished with 28 points. (Raleigh News & Observer)
