With the current ACC Player of the Year relegated to fan status on the bench, UNC turned to Tyler Hansbrough to dispatch a desperate eighth-seeded Virginia Tech squad in Friday’s ACC quarterfinal. The All-American scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the 79-76 victory. Hansbrough may have missed out on ACC Player of the Year honors earlier this week, but he delivered when his teammates needed him the most. (Inside Carolina)
