Why I bleed Carolina blue

In 1998, as Mack Brown moved from Chapel Hill to Austin, I made the opposite trip, heading from my hometown of the Texas capital to my freshman year at the University of North Carolina. I was leaving football country behind, about to be converted to a religion known in North Carolina as basketball. Adherence was not optional. Now, six years after I graduated from UNC, the Tar Heels are back in the Final Four, this time in Texas. (Austin American-Statesman)
